Bakit Ganun?

Bakit ganun? I always try to stay at the background, I always try to stay away from the very sensitive comments and acts of some people, yet people always manage to push me up front and center for the benefit of their egos.

Some people are just insensitive. Public humiliation, at our age and respective professions and social status, should not be tolerated. I did not appreciate last gathering's dose of humiliation. There were visitors present, and we are in a public place. There could have been faculty, staff and worse, university personnel present. So much for keeping a healthy image as an Architect within the University.

I was insulted when people assume that I have new eye candies present in the crowd. Nobody has the right to assume what people prefer, what people feel for others, and what people are thinking about. Same goes for their escapades and preferences. As one person said that same night, whatever personal problems he may have, there is an extent of the burden that he reserves for himself to carry. Well said. I don't have the right to ask or announce anything about your activities, and so should you.

This is my way of burying the hatchet. But I guess some people never knew that the hatchet exists. Those are the lucky ones, never knowing that people can hurt.

Cheers!
