Ukelele

The band is now contemplating on learning how to play ukeleles instead of guitars. Would that turn out to be a revolutionary idea in the field of pop music? Imagine the local bands turning in their guitars for ukeleles.

We got the idea while listening to Jack Johnson, a surfer dude turned music artist. The album has smooth relaxing contemporary sounds which makes the listener imagine lounging around in Hawaii. Now put that sound in our local music scene and we might have a new genre waiting to happen. And we wouldn't want to be left behind.
A ukelele is fairly cheaper as compared to a guitar, due in fact to the sheer difference in size, so cost is not a problem, as compared to a violin or mandolin. The only challenge left is learning to play the instrument.

We got a major gig coming up this may, in one of the acoustic bar - poetry reading area within Quezon City. The place is run by prominent musical artists and poets in the industry. So we have a few weeks to get our ukeleles and strut our stuff. I'm excited to get my ukelele!!!
